Keyword not showing

Hi, we are trying to rank this keyword "Human Resource Books" for Silvercreek.ca for a long time. But somehow, the keyword is not ranked by google at all. Is there a reason why Google is denying our site? What did we do wrong? Can anyone help to see what wrong with tis siet www.silvercreekpress.ca?
thanks

Excellent analysis! #6 and #7 are the big ones. Make sure your site is seen as relevant and get links from other relevant sites.
In GWT > Optimization > Content Keywords - this table will give you a gist of the kind of keywords on your site. If its not what you were expecting to see, you need to change your content.
-
There are quite a few reasons it's not ranking at the top of Google (.com or .ca)
-
Spammy meta. Your title contains the keyword twice. Google dislikes this and tends to use another title if possible. Since you haven't used noodp/noydir, they're using whatever they deem suitable to the search. Do a search for "silver creek press" and you'll see them change your title. That's a hint that they don't like your own info.
-
Spammy meta 2. You're using the meta keywords and have repeated your main keyword 11 times in the meta keyword tag. Take it twice in the title + 11 times in keywords and that's not so good. Especially since it appears only near the very end of your description.
-
In Chrome if you do a "View Source" on your page, the keyword only appears at the very beginning (meta) and at the very end of the code. Your page goes from line 7 to line 522 without mentioning "human resource" at all. This would suggest that the actual page content is not necessarily about what you're telling Google it is about - thus not helping you.
-
Your copyright tag is out of date. (2008-2010). While some people disagree that this is a factor, and I don't know, IF it is, you're telling Google you haven't updated the page and don't maintain it. Google ranks older pages that have been "let go" worse than they do new, updated sites. At least, that's the theory.
-
Your H1 doesn't include your keyword. There is some evidence that H1 still matters. Whether or not a larger sample would yield the same, I don't know.
-
Your site does not support your main keywords. Your "About" page should tell Google pretty clearly what you do. The phrase "human resource" does not appear until after line 250. Your meta tags for this page are very basic compared to the home page. The keyword does not appear at all on your Books, eBooks, Discounts, Guarantee or even your Resources page.
What that all means is the only page on your site that even remotely seems to be about "human resource" is your main page, which is meta-keyword stuffed but only includes relevant content 90% down the page and no other page on your site supports the main. It's just a single point of data standing on its own.
- According to OSE, you have 10 linking domains with 265 links and no social shares to speak of. One of your page one competitors, www.learn 4good.com, has 600 linking domains and 27,450 links. www.cite hr.com on page 2 has 168 domains and 8264 links. Your numbers just aren't anywhere close.
That's not everything, but that's where I would start. Sorry for the long reply and hope it helps.

I see you on page 4 on google.ca for the term - http://www.google.ca/#q=human+resource+books&start=30
Not in top 100 for .com
Sooooo. the .ca domain is definitely helping you rank in G.ca so you are appearing in their SERPs. For the .com results, you will see that the competition isn't very easy. Many books.google, amazon and publisher results means that you need to build plenty of high authority links before you can expect to see any rankings.
The .ca domain is also hurting your changes of ranking high on the .com (international) search results.

SERPs started showing the incorrect date next to my pages
Hi Moz friends, I've noticed since Tuesday, November 9, half of my post's meta dates have changed in regards to what appears next to the post in the search results. Although published this year, I'm getting some saying a random date in 2010! (The domain was born in 2013; which makes this even more odd). This is harming the CTR of my posts and traffic is decreasing. Some posts have gone from 200 hits a day to merely 30. As far as on our end of the website, we have not made any changes in regards to schema markup, rich snippets, etc. We have not edited any post dates. We have actually not added new content since about a week ago, and these incorrect dates have just started to appear on Tuesday. Only changes have been updating certain plugins in terms of maintenance. This is occurring on four of our websites now, so it is not just specific to one. All websites use Wordpress and Genesis theme. It looks like only half of the posts are showing weird dates we've never seen before (far off from the original published date as well as last updated date -- again, dates like 2010, 2011, and 2012 when none of our websites were even created until 2013). We cannot think of a correlation as to why certain posts are showing weird dates and others the correct. The only change we can think of that's related is back in June we changed our posts to show Last Updated date to give our readers an insight into when we changed it last (since it's evergreen content). Google started to use that date for the SERPs which was great, it actually increased traffic. I'm hoping it's a glitch and a recrawl soon may help sift it around. Anybody have experience with this? I've noticed Google fluctuates between showing our last updated date or not even showing a date at all sometimes at random. We're super confused here. Thank you in advance!

LSI keywords logic - enter in meta and bold in text?
Hello, In the lack of good info about this on the Internet, let me try here. I know that it is a good idea to put LSI keywords in natural flow in the body text of the article. But shall I also put LSI keywords as a meta? In the same manner as doing with non-LSI keywords? Or shall I only reserve meta for non-LSI keywords? In body text, shall I emphasize LSI keywords in bold? As non-LSI keywords already does. This is a bit confusing as I don't wan't LSI keywords to take over show from my long tail (phrase) keyword. I will appreciate if someone could share a bit light over this. Thanks in advance!

Why are pages still showing in SERPs, despite being NOINDEXed for months?
We have thousands of pages we're trying to have de-indexed in Google for months now. They've all got . But they simply will not go away in the SERPs. Here is just one example.... http://bitly.com/VutCFiIf you search this URL in Google, you will see that it is indexed, yet it's had for many months. This is just one example for thousands of pages, that will not get de-indexed. Am I missing something here? Does it have to do with using content="none" instead of content="noindex, follow"? Any help is very much appreciated.

Business name not showing on Google Maps Satellite View
Hi Everyone, When you go into Google Maps and look at the satellite view, you'll notice business names on some, but not all, businesses--like on the roof of the building. Where do I need to go to get this to work for my business? My Google Places pages are setup properly but as far as I can tell there is no setting for this. Is it the Service Area setting? Currently I have it set to "Yes, this business serves customers at their locations." Perhaps I need to set this to "No." Many thanks, Robert

Google.ca is showing our US site instead of our Canada Site
When our Canadian users who search on google.ca for our brand (e.g. Travelocity, Travelocity hotels, etc.), the first few results our from our US site (travelocity.com) rather than our Canadian site (travelocity.ca). In Google Webmaster Tools, we've adjusted the geotargeting settings to focus on the appropriate locale, but the wrong country TLD is still coming up at the top via google.ca. What's the best way to ensure our Canadian site comes up instead of the US site on google.ca? Thanks, Tory Smith
